The following away game for PROODEFTIKI, tomorrow Sunday 18th Noνember 2018 (starts at 17:00 / 5 pm Greek time) against Ionikos Nikeas (named also as the lokal ''Klassiko of Pireus'')  is for both teams,  the game of the year, as it will be transmitted lινe with internet streaming from SPORTAL tν and thousands of  supporters will be following liνe the transmission as usual. 

After some possitiνe results in the past 3 games (two home games won for ''PROO'' against Giouhtas & A.E. Neapoli both from Kreta island and one draw away against Keratsini)  Proodeftiki has managed to positioned better as before in the table of the 5th group of the 3rd National Greek Football league by ranking  in the 10th position in the leagues table with 7 points 

Both squads finished their weekly work - out  (preparing for the Derby) with open for the fans training sessions yesterday Friday, with many fans attending and supporting the squads and demanding to win the DERBY

First game won for FC PROODEFTIKI against Giuchtas past Sunday

  After Proodeftiki, was defeated for the 4th game in a row  playing against AEEK SYNKA (in a home game) with  1-2 score, on Sunday 21/OKT/2018 

the head coach stepped back and a new head coach,   Mr. Kyriakos Michas was immediately signed by the club, beginnng of the week, to coach the squad and to put efforts to win the first points of the season, in the following home game against the team of Giuchtas.

  Kyriakos Michas was the head coach of Aspropyrgos FC in the past season and his work resulted the ''saving'' of the category for the club of Aspropirgos during the second round in the past season (in 2017 - 2018 season Proodeftiki and Aspropyrgos played in the same group of the 3rd National Greek Football League)  

  The first match Mr. Michas coached the squad past Saturday 27th October 2018 against the club of Giuchtas (from Heraklion, Crete) in the 2nd in a row home game for FC PROODEFTIKI, resulted the first positive result of the season for our club and the first 3 points on the table of the 5th group of the league.

Yesterday 31st of October FC Proodeftiki, during the last day of bookings for the season, the club announced 8 new players, playing in various positions while 8 other players, left the club.

Following sceduled match for FC Proodeftiki is an away game on Sunday 4th November in Keratsini / Pireus against the local club.

Up to date, there is no information yet available, if the following match of Proo vs Keratsini will be transmitted live via streaming.  

Heading for the first win tomorrow against SYNKA

As Proodeftiki lost as well in the last match against Atsalenios (1-0) in the away game in Heraklion / Crete past Sunday, there is a must to collect the first 3 points for the club tomorrow in the home game against AEEK SYNKA from Chania / Crete.

Match is starting at 4 pm Greek time (CET +2 H)
No indicaton so far if the match will be transmitted live from an internet  TV chanel with live streaming.

In the positive news from our club, is that ''Willy'' Tagbo is ready to participate after an injury from the cup game against Ampelakiakos.

The squad, played better than in previous matches past week in Heraklion and lost several very good chances to go away with a point.

FC PROODEFTIKI is traveling to Heraklion /Crete after the lost match past Sunday

As the home game against Episkopi Rethymnon (final 0-1) was a small surprise for the squad and the supporters, immediate action was taken beginnng of the week after head coach Gatsios stepped back from his position. 

The new head coach in charge is Dim. Kalykas having experience in coaching as well clubs from the 2nd National League and will be on the pitch during next game.

So the team was training hard the whole week for the next game (away in Heraklion / Crete) against Atsalenios, a tough playing squad,that PROO has played against 2 seasons ago, when clubs from Pireus and Crete met again in the same group of the league.

FC Proodeftiki has announced some further bookings of players during the week to complete the roster and to strike back in the championship of  the League as the club is at the last position of the 5th groups table.

Several supporters will follow the club to Crete by ferry, to watch the squad aiming for its first win in the new championship.

The match will be transmitted live via internet  on Sunday (starting at 4:00pm / CET +2h) by a local Cretan station telesport.gr

     In the bellow worldmap, you can indicate the countries our blog followers and supporters of  ''PROO'' are resident, many of them 2nd or 3rd generation greek immigrants with roots from Pireus and the suburbs, but an origin from the Eastern coastal areas of the Aegean Sea.

Awaiting the first home game for FC PROODEFTIKI against F.C. Episkopi from Rethymno/Crete, (match starts 4.00 pm Greek local time tomorrow Sunday 7/OKT/2018) we are informing you kindly about some details about our blog and its operation.

This blog '' GlobalPROOtribe'' is most probably the ONLY greek blog operated by the supporters of a greek football club (of any league) that is available in English language.

The fans of PROODEFTIKI F.C. (Pireus . Greece) are welcoming you back .... to our blog ''GlobalPROOtribe'' GOOD Morning from Pireus/ Greece, to all friends & supporters of PROODEFTIKI F.C. living abroad.

After a long absence of 8 years, it was decided to re-operate this blog beginning of 2018 and to inform you again about our team PROODEFTIKI F.C. (only IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE) and its current situation during the championship that it is participating, as we are also hounouring 90 + YEARS of HISTORY of our club.

      Already since then, our blog's team, managed to do some postings referring the past seasons championship (2017 -2018) and to inform you about some important matches past season, - some videos of matches are uploaded as well in the relevant pages of the blog - when PROODEFTIKI FC lost the promotion from the group participating in the 3rd Greek National football league to the higher league (2nd category) named in Greece ''Football League 2''.

  This season 2018 - 2019, FC PROODEFTIKI participating again in the 3rd National Greek football league, in the 5th group with other 6 clubs from Pireus and 7 clubs from the local football associatons from Crete island.

  The championship started past weekend, while ''PROO'' lost away (3-1) against the hosting squad of Ethnikos Pireus.  The match is already posted in our blog earlier this week, while the ONLY available videos of the game can be seen at following links (as the ''PROO'' supporters, managed once again, to transmit the game live with streaming (via facebook APP) directly from the tribune in the municipal stadium of Kallithea.

 The squad has completed earlier today the practice session of the week for tomorrows importand match in ''the cage'' and all in the club are putting lots of efforts for a positive result tomorrow afternoon.

   Tomorrows match FC PROODEFTKI vs FC Episkopi Rethymnon, will be also transmitted with live streaming (via FB App) only for those resident abroad or resident in the greek province.

In a satisfying match with 4 goals, Ethnikos Pireus defeated FC Proodeftiki by 3-1 overturning the match in the second half

     
    At the Municipal Stadium of Kallithea (an Athenian suburb),  the ''Crimsons'' (followed in the away match - opening the season - by more than 250 supporters)

surprised the hosts and took the lead in the 23rd minute with a shot by Kerasidis  (0-1) after a parallel ball of Tagbo (striker) right into the center of the penalty area,


but after they had the first good chance of the game to score earlier in the 11th minute, by a long shot of Dilaveris that hit the post.

0-1 was also the halftime standing of the first game of the season.


In the second half, the ''blue & whites'' returned to the pitch more determined to turn the match and within 6 minutes they did it.

In the 51st minute Manalis (Ethn) equalized the score with a header, after a kick - off by Romano, while in the 56th minute Pavlakis (Ethn) scored the second goal of Ethnikos with a header after a kick-off by Alexiou.

Thr final 3-1 was scored in the 92nd minute by Leventis (Ethn) with a shot outside the penallty area, after the ball hit a defender of Proodeftiki and changed route.

The 5th group of the 3rd National Greek Football division – A brief presentation of the participating clubs in the group ( part No2 of 2) – The clubs from Pireus

After the compilation of the 8 groups for the new season starting September 30^th and the fixtures of the games of F.C. PROODEFTIKI that we have posted recently, we will present you briefly the clubs participating in the 5th group of the 3^rd National Greek football League continuing with the participating clubs from Pireus area

The 5th group will consist of 13 teams in total (6 clubs from Pireus football association and 7 clubs from Crete representing the 4 different local football associations of the island) from which the champion will be "promoted" directly to the higher division, from the 2nd till the 7th place ranking teams will "remain" in the category next season, while the others, the least six clubs of the group, will be relegated in the local leagues of their respective associations.

 As concerns the latest information and if approved and adopted by the EPO the Greek National Football association, the restructuring plans for the new Greek leagues, will allow 4 more clubs ending on the 2^nd rank of their respective groups tables will likely be promoted to the higher division, after play –off games to be held right after the end of the season. The final decision is still pending

Let's be informed briefly about the clubs participating in the 5th group of this year's 3rd Greek National Division continuing with the 6 clubs participating from Pireus in this post (part No 2 of 2 related posts) and in an earlier post the 7 teams representing the Cretan local football associations have been presented as well.

FC PROODEFTIKI

Established: 1927

Playing at home: in Nikea Municipal stadium /’’The Cage’’

 The squad consists basically of a roster with many young and upcoming players, which has not yet been completed. As expected experienced players are to be booked.

ATROMITOS PIREUS

Established: 1926

Playing at home: in Agios Ioannis Rentis Municipal stadium / ‘’S. Melissourgos’’

Atromitos Piraeus resumes in 3^rd National Greek League after a brief absence, aiming to remain in the category this season. The club has booked early several players to complete the roster, while some additions have been made in recent days.

AMPELAKIAKOS

Established: 1937

Playing at home: in Ampelakia stadium / Salamis island

 Ampelakiakos is appearing for the first time ever in the 3^rd National Greek League and will try in his first historical presence  to make the surprise not to relegate, having acquired some skilled players who can make the difference in the 5^th group of the league.

KERATSINI

Established: 1926

Playing at home: ’’P. Salpeas’’ stadium / Keratsini

In the years of its presence in the 3^rd National Greek League the club has beaten even the toughest rivals of any group it was playing. Additions were made to the roster, after the withdrawal of some players but without probably covered effectively the gaps that are left.

ETHNIKOS PIREUS

Established: 1923

Playing at home: in Municipality stadium of Kallithea / Athens

Remains almost with an equally strong squad as past season, with selectively added skilled players. Important though, is the booking of head coach Loukas Karadimos and his staff, who trained past season the club of F.C. PROODEFTIKI and is well known for his job.

IONIKOS

Established: 1965

Playing at home: in the Municipality stadium of Neapoli / Nikea

The arrival of a new President has resulted changes and excitement with a primary focus on the cooperation with FC Larisa (owned by the presidents family) from which club arrived some players who will strengthen the team.

  As we are approaching the date of the kick-off for the new championship of the 3rd National Greek football division (season 2018 - 2019) a promo video for the sales of the season tickets for FC PROODEFTIKI home games is on air

Prices for the new season tickets are 20 Euro and 50 Euro, as well as 150 Euro (VIP section)

  Supporters of FC PROODEFTIKI from abroad, are aiming significantly the CLUB by purchasing the season tickets and donating them through the fan clubs for use of unemployed supporters for the club's home games, in order to have our well known ''HOT'' atmosphere in the cage.

Established: 1962

 Playing at home : in the Municipal Stadium "I. Vardinoyannis" – Rethymno

 Returning again to the 3^rd  league, but this year more experienced, with a refreshed squad aiming this season to be promoted to a higher division

Established: 1982

Playing at home : in the Kantanos Municipal Stadium – Chania Prefecture

The previous season with the effective rank of the captured 6th place in the 8th group. The club has not impressed in friendlies so far, while a few days ago the club was defeated by 2-0 in the final of the local Super Cup of Chania by AEEK SYNKA

 Established: 2009

Playing at home : in Stadium Mournion – Chania

With a good organization and playing beautiful football returned directly in the 3^rd league after a recent relegation into the local championship of Chania. The club has signed players that strengthened the squad significantly, after last year's undefeated winning the local league and the promotion to the 3^rd National Greek division and can create many problems for opponents.

The clubs squad has been strengthened with many players from Greece and abroad with the first impressions to be quite positive after the good results and good performances in friendlies with strong opponents

Established: 1957

Playing at home: in Archanes town Stadium – Heraklion Prefecture

With several additions since last year the board of the club insists that they will be the pleasant surprise of the 5^th group. Besides the frantic course of the previous season it is indicated as a rugged team.

O.F. IERAPETRA

Established: 1970

Playing at home: in Municipal Stadium of Ierapetra  - Lasithi Prefecture

Ierapetra F.C. responded last year extremely well in the League finishing in the 3rd place of the 8th group while they won the Amateur Cup and the best season in its history. With the last reasons as a guide the club is expected this season to be among the very strong  teams in the 5^th group.

A.E  NEAPOLEOS

Established: 1968

Playing at home: in Municipal Stadium of Neapoli Lasithiou – Lasithi Prefecture

Neapoli has signed some players through transfers mainly from the amateur departments of   famous clubs, but so far figures on friendlies show that the squad is unprepared to participate in this division. In the first appearance in the 3^rd division, celebrating 50 years since its Establishment, the club is a question mark of what it will accomplish.
