It was a bright sunny afternoon last Sunday at ''the cage'' and the guys entried the ground in front of 1500 enthusiastic fans.
All of us attending the game, felt lucky, 'cause it was the best so far in this years championship....

Two times the posts stopped PROO from opening the score, what finaly happened in the last minute of the extra time and .....the crowd exploded!!

After the 5x5 row of wins of Proodeytiki in the 2010 -2011 championship, resulted also the lead in the table of the 9th pool of the 4th division in the Greek Leagues, we return to the ''Cage'' for a home game against the team of Keratsini. At this present time the particular game, seems to be a derby in the championship, once PROO is leading the pool by 2 points difference ahead of the guests of followig Sunday's game.

Everybody seems to be very confident in a next victory, as it happened in all previous played matches of the season. And of cource, no one has forgotten, what happened last year when Proo played away in Keratsini.

So there is thing shure for the time beeing and the players of PROO are aware of it:

'' SHOW NO MERCY'' that's the title of the next game.....

Again we will have a LIVE RADIO BROADCAST of the game, via Internet as usual, specially dedicated to all our fans living far away and especially abroad....

0-2 (0-1 half) was the score that was celebrated by more than 400 fans that followed PROO to Aigina Island.

5 x 5 (15 points) so far and already 4 points dfference from the second in the Pool table, the team of Keratsini.
Keratsini by the way is the next victim (sceduled to be ''erased'' next Sunday in the CAGE)

 Τhe following game of F.C. PROODEFTIKI is away on Aigina island against Saronikos. Already the fans are organizing a massive appearance on the island for the match that starts at 15:00 (Greek local time,UTC +2 or CET +1). 

      Already, appart of the organized (by the board council) passage to the island with the ferry- boat ''Ag. Nektarios'', sailing off Pireus central harbour at noon (with a special fared return ticket with a 50% reduction in total - final price 9,50 Euro),

a number of fans will arrive on the island from Saturday already, combining the game with a visit and a relaxed weekend as the weather forcast promisses.

   The latest news of the teams squad of Proodeftiki inform us, that all players are available for the coach and in good shape as well, to participate in the most difficult game up-to-date in the program.

   As we are informed, a number of return tickets (100) for the younger fans are sponsored by the former vice-president of Proodeytiki Mr.Stamatis Tzieris and if there appears a need additionaly 50 entry tickets for the game, will be available as well.  

   There is a posibility to follow the game on the internet radio of the aiginaportal.gr

They have anounced, that the transmission and the game starts 15:00 (local Greek time).

“What you seed, is what you harvest”

   Two goals in the 3-1 victory against  F.C Oropos, two more scored in the away game against  Aris Amfialis (0-3), one more during the 4-1 away victory with AE Perama and again two goals two days ago (1st and 3rd) in the home game resulted 4-0 against Ano Syros. This is Yannis Gribas, 29 old striker playing for F.C. Proodeftiki, who in the four first games of the championship counts 7 goals in the 9th pool of the 4th National league, realising his most productive start in a season of his carrier.

  It is characteristic that he has scored already half of those goals, that he achieved to score last year, with the team of Koropi - 14 goals in total, in an exceptional season and with a few words, someone  would say simply, that he has taken his “weapon” this year and shoots unstoppable towards the rivals goalposts.

  Certainly he is keeping a low profile, complimenting his teammates for the feeds he is receiving and that has brought the aforesaid results. And in particular, he points more the 4 victories in 4 games played by the leading the pool F.C. Proodeftiki.

A row of victories, that is not accidental, for Yannis Gribas.

“What you seed, is what you harvest”, is the start of his interview in “Goal newspaper” and the charismatic top scorer continues: “We have acomplished a very good job all together. Technical staff, administration and the players(of the team). It is reasonable, therefore, that the results show up. Personally, I am someone, who believes a lot in working (exercising) and consider that, when you work, you are rewarded”.

“Extreme push from the fans”

  He considers also, that a catalytic role, has played the presence of the fans. “It may sounds like a clise, but I do not say it simply just to say something. Our supporters gives us a big pushing impulse. In each game, we begin with a high grade in our psychology, precisely because of the presence and the support of our fans”. As a person that likes working, Yannis Gribas, is attending to send also his message for the following period: “It is yet early, and we should not say big words. What we do all together, is to focus at each game separately and we do not rely in any case. Last year F.C. Proodeytiki, lost the championship because of losses that it had in particular games, against theoretically weak opponents. This year this does not exist. We do not underestimate anyone and we face each game, as if  it is the first one of the  championship”.

Wise words, would say someone, from a player who has experience, from A' National division, with the team of Ethnikos Asteras, played professionally for Ethnikos Piraeus, Kalamata, Vyzas Megara, Achaici and as an amateur, playing experience of Mykonos, Nireas Paros and Koropi.

A.E. PERAMA - PROODEFTIKI F.C. 1-4 today & videos of the game

Earlier this afternoon and in the 3rd league game in a row ( 2nd in a row away), PROODEYTIKI beat Perama AE away by 1-4 (1-1 halft.) playing seriously especially in the 2nd half and been celebrated by the 300 fans followed.

Already PROO is leading together with Keratsini with 9 points in 3 games the pools table of the 9th pool of the D' devision of the Greek Leagues.

Following game is next Sunday a home game in the ''Cage'' against the team of ANO SYROS and this game will be again live broadcasted by our internet radio.

During the first game broadcasted live against Oropos, more than 200 people had been connected and listened the game from several countries in 4 different continents.

Proo plays in Perama tomorrow against A.E. Peramatos & video

 After the positiv result in the mid-week cup game played away, against Hellas Pontion which resulted with a 1-2 win (achieved in the extra time of the game)  the promotion of PROODEYTIKI to the following round, tomorrow Sunday 3/Oct/2010 are the league games continuing.
The scedule of the league, is sending our team again for the next game away (second  in a row) to Perama (suburb of Pireus) to conter a club (A.E. Peramatos) which is very strong at home.
Last season (in January/2010) Proo returned with a 0-3 win from this game, playing well and serious, something requested tomorrow again.
As the pool table shows right know, Proo is leading by 6 points (n 2 games) together with Keratsini & Triglia Rafinas and a possible winning result tommorrow, will most probably differentise the pools table top.
The latest information about PROO, are that our coach Fotis Thaellas has all players ready to compete and to result the 3rd win in a row.

PROODEFTIKI plays against Hellas Pontion in a cup game today at 15:30 & video of goals scored last year

A new challenge for the local Pireus football union cup is sceduled for 15:30 today.

PROODEYTIKI plays in an away game vs Hellas Pontion (participating in the local Pireus championship this season)

 Both teams have knowledge of each other, as two years ago Hellas Pontion beat PROO by 3-0 in the same event and last season they played in the 4th division against each other.

In the first round of last years leagues games, PROO escaped with a 1-3 win away and in the reversing round the game turned to be one of the highest in score game of the 9th pool as Proodeytiki beat Hellas Pontion by 7-1, in an afternoon where heavy rain falls during the whole game and the rain of goals scored, were competing as well.

The repetence of the general congress of members of PROODEFTIKI ATHLETIC CLUB

Yesterday evening (as announced) was the day that the members of PROODEFTIKI Athletic Club, were invited to attend the repeating general members congress of the team.

A most important and delicate matter was the vote for the acceptance of change of articles of the constitutive association of the club.

Finaly due to the reason that out of aprox. 160 signed members of the club, only some 31 of them were financialy settled, the members congress will be repeted again for this purpose, when the majority of the members will settle their bill.

Anyway the new administrative council of our team (as of 10/ June / 2010 in charge) under the management of Dr. Nikos Chainis, analysed during the event, what the new council received and which efforts they made as administration, in order that they organise the club and it is prepared for participation for the new season (2010-2011).

As normal, many questions from attending persons turned the congress into an event with objections and explanations, finaly resulting that all parties involved are respecting the history and the progress of the club and (hopefully) will continue to support all necessary measures to be taken by the administration, so that our football team devision can finaly be promoted to the 3rd league and return to the Greek professional football leagues at the end of this season.

Later on tonight (Tuesday 28/Sept) the whole event may be seen on videos in the Internet. We will publish here an example (when ready) and the link to the rest of the videos.

An importand result achieved by PROODEYTIKI today in an away game against Aris Amfialis.
0-3 (0-1 halftime) final score and again 2 goals by Grivas (4 goals ttl in 2 games) and 1 more by Lanaras collected 3 more points for PROO.

Aris Amfialis - Proodeytiki today at 16:00

Today (16:00) is the following league game for Proo. An away game, against a team that last year did gave PROO a quit hard time.

Later on during the early evening hours, we will feed you with the result and all related information about the game.

PROODEYTIKI beated today 3-0 the team of Ermis Korydallos in a cup game

The second official game played today (cup game of Pireus football union) resulted as well sucessful image for Proodeytiki, in front of aprox. 350 fans.

Scoring one goal during the first half (17' min DUKA with a header) and two more goals in the second half ( Lekkas & Lazarou) , the team performed a very responsible game in the field.

The next round cup game, is sceduled for 29/Sept away against Hellas Pontion, while Proo is focusing for the next leagues game (2nd) against Aris Amfials (away).

PROODEFTIKI - OROPOS 3-1 for the first game of the season & the videos of all goals

Indeed it was a hot afternoon at the "Cage" in Nikea City.
The temperature (34 C), the atmosphere during the game, organized by the fans of PROO, and the live broadcast via Internet radio of the first home game, was the exact needed mixture, to enjoy a great season start honnored with a 3-1 victory (Grivas 2 goals scored & Lekkas 1 goal scored) against the team of Oropos.

The team played well, especially in the 2nd half and smiles could be seen all over the faces.

Our team is playing many friendly games, so that the coach can form the most competitive squad to entry ''the CAGE'' on 19/Sept/2010 and let the ball roll.

and AEGALEO (D' dev./ 8th pool) - PROO sceduled for tommorow afternoon.

The following week will finalyse the squad of the 11 players, who will hear the first whistle sound of the new season, trying to beat the team of Oropos and to start the championship with +3 points.

Many fans are expected to view this first homegame, as many surprises from fans and team, will keep the atmosphere festive during this game.

From our side, the only surprise we can announce already, is that many games will be transmitted live via Internet radio!!!! Of cource it will be in Greek Language, trying first of all to transmitt live (at least) all home games of F.C. PROODEYTIKH.

1st of September (wishing you a good month) we are back to inform you briefly about our football team F.C. Proodeftiki.

As the training sessions are continuing after the arrival from the summer training camp in the picturesful village of Elatochori in Pieria prefecture (Macedonia - Northern Greece) our team participated (still continuing) in a number of friendly games to develop strategy and to check the players that signed during the summer.

The updated news of the first meeting of F.C. PROODEFTIKI for the season 2010 - 2011

Hello again dear friends and fans of F.C. Proodeftiki, read the updated news of our team as the new season 2010-2011 started......

Yesterday Wednesday 28/July, was the first day the ''new football team'' of Proodeftiki met at our football ground for the new season for the first training.

We had the chance to see many new faces among the remaining know players of last season.

More than 150 fans and friends of PROO attended this event, but due to the release of many of last season good and favorite players from the team, many among the fans simply disapproved this disengagement of the well known players by the teams technical stuff and adminitrative council.

They disagreed as well with some persons involved in the new council by yelling to them for their reactions and moves in administrating and that a specific person among them, was held responsible, that the natural ground was changed into a turf ground by the City of Nikea, so that many amature teams of the surrounding areas are using ''the Cage'' now too.

But it started getting rough when the technical stuff showed up in a ''hatred blue colored training tricots''. Many people started booing the responsible people for that unlikly situation, by demanding not to show up again in this colour.

Finaly the players (new & old ones) started to run slowly and relaxed around the field to heat up

After some circles they splitted into 2 teams, the first one continued with gym exercises

while the others got contact to the ball, playing among them a short game.

After a while they exchanged the excersise.

The players that disengaged from Proodeftiki are:

MITROGIANNIS (Gk), PRISIMITZIS (def), DROUZAS (mid), CHALKIAS (att), PROVATAS (def), KONE (mid), BETHANIS (mid), MALLISIOVAS (att), VASSILIOU (def), ARGIRIOU (att) SEVASTOPOULOS (att), LAZAROU (mid), LAIOS (mid), PERROS (mid), KALOGERAS (att), TZIERIS (def)

A number of them already signed up for other teams in many different categories, with the best of all the 4 years professional contract signed by Marios Argiriou at B' League team ETHNIKOS ASTERAS of Kessariani / Athens.

Among the newcomers that signed up for F.C. Prodeftiki, remarkable and well known is LAZAROU (36yr old Att) , Miionis (Gk) formerly played for PROO and some others with some experience from leagues B' and C'.

As regards the rest of the new players we will keep you informed, as first of all they probably have to proove that they can help the team to start a succesfull season by winning the leagues championship at the end and to be rewarded with the ascent to the C' league.

The time will show, who will stand the responsibility to carry on the difficult struggle, while the patience of the fans simply is gone after 3 years in ''excile'' from the professional leagues of Greek Football.

Many fans are expected to see the first training session of the team and to see live the new players signed.

TOP 12 Goals scored by F.C. PROODEFTIKI in season 2009 - 2010 recorded on videos & the latest developments of F.C. PROODEFTIKI

While the fans are still awaiting to be informed officially by the new administrative council
of F.C. Proodeftiki, already a number of players has left the team and signed new contracts.

The 21 year old Marios Argyriou ('09-'10 season top scorer of PROO and the 9th pool of our division, with 24 goals scored) signed yesterday a 4 year lasting contract with Ethnikos Asteras of Kessariani and will continue in the B' Devision following season.
Some days ago, Sotiris Bethanis (midfielder-23yr old) left our team for APO ROUF-C' Devision!

A serious part of last years trunke of team, will most probably not continue to play for Proodeftiki in the following season, mainly due to financial problems and sallary cuts.

If new and valuable players will join our team for the next season, no one has an answer right now, while many other teams preparing for a championship struggle, are steps ahead!!!

A bit more patience is required at this present time, till the first official statement of our new administrative council is in the air.

The only news (in terms of organization) is that:
As head coach - FOTIS THANELLAS (44yr) is in charge
and Dimitri Chortsas (a senior player of Proodeftiki) will carry the responsibility as technical director of the teams football devision, after Jiannis Tsevretzis denied this position!
Both together will select and form the new seasons roster of FC PROODEFTIKI.

As result of the meeting (held yesterday afternoon) between members of the new managing board of A.C. PROODEFTIKI and some of our bloggers, they received and posted (in our other blogs) the information that announcable news (reffering organization of the club and first information related with players and technical team) will be shared at some 10 days and on.
We will keep you informed on time, as soon as we receive ''this fresh news''.

In the meantime, many other football clubs, almost in any Greek devision, are facing tremendous financial problems and many of them are sceptic into the participation in their leagues.

Keeping an outlook on interested investors, it seems like there is almost nothing possitivly expressed, by people wich could, probably support financially this teams as ''owners'' or ''sponsors'', resulting even fears of the future existance of many historical teams.

Furthermore many other teams, that plan to participate, are cutting budgets, resulting that many good players are searching for better agreements i.e. contracts.

With no doubt, the financial crisis in Greece, is affecting as well the sports, especially all football leagues, where many ''surprising results'' are expected during the up-comming season.
The season 2010-2011 will be, most probably, an interesting betting session!

New teams managing board as of yesterday 9th/JUNE

Yesterday evening Wednesday 9/JUNE/2010, took part the
2nd general congress of members of PROODEFTIKI ATHLETIC CLUB.



More than 100 members joined this annual event among them a significant number of fans and supporters of our team, which was repeated for the 2nd time within a months period.

After the stepback of the administrative council of our team a couple of months ago, a new coucil under the supervision of Dr. Nikos Chainis, requested the agree and acceptance of the former council and the members of A.C. PROODEFTIKI , in order to take over the lead of the club.
Due to the reason also, that there was no other callenging proposition from any other party, everybody agreed with the proposal.

Dr. Nikos Chainis explained to the audience and analysed briefly, the resume of projected plans in order to manage the team efficiently for a period of following years, focusing on a return to professional league categories. The information in reference of the new board members, was also shared by Dr. Chainis, who kindly answered some questions of the audience.

Everyone now, is awaiting the official action of consignment of the former council, so that the new board can take over and rush to fulfill its projected plans, in order to prepare the team for the new leagues season, starting in September.
