FC PROODEFTIKI returned from Crete with a great win against Episkopi

   Proodeftiki collected  3 points playing away against        FC Episkopi past Sunday, with an excellent performance on the muddy pitch of the Rethymnon Stadium. 


The rain during the 1st half resulted that the first 45 min. (0-0 halftime) did not helped the squad to perform as planned, but the comeback in the second half and the excellent tactic and performance of the squad brought the positive result (0-2 final), that is a milestone for the next matches and the aim to leave behind the relegation zone of the 5th group in the 3rd National Greek football league. 

Some supporters of  ''PROO'', that travelled to Crete, watched the game in the stadium and celebrated the first away win of the team, while hundreds of supporters had the chance to follow the game on their computers and mobile devices due to the LIVE VIDEO STREAMING via facebook APP, organized by the supporters of our club.

Starting 2019 with a critical match away on Salamis island.

  Welcoming you all back for the 1st posting in 2019,  our ''crew'' of the blog, will bring you on your screen the latest information about the club and the championship it is participating as often as possible during this year.

  Significant changes happened during the past weeks in the club .....   lots of work has still to be done!

  A ''salvation commity'' is running and managing  the club, since early Christmass days,  as former officers (managers and coaches) had to step back, following the latest negative game results during the last matches of the previous year, resulting an unpleasant and dangerous position for relegation in the 5th group table for Proodeftiki.

  Already a number of players left the squad, as a result of their weak performance during critical games where PROODEFTIKI was defeated in matches away and at home games and the first two new bookings of experienced players are already completed and announced in the press, while the members of the commity are working hand-in-hand with the new head coach Margaritis Chatzialexis to strenghten the clubs roster ( returning as a head coach of the club after a positive period during  2011 championship)

  On Sunday 6th January 2019, Proodeftiki is playng away a very crucial match on Salamis island against the local club of Ampelakiakos completing the fixtures of the 1st round of the chamionship.



 The club will have during the match against Ampelakiakos the support of hundreds of fans travelling the short distance from Attika mainland to Salamis island by ferries despite the very cold weather conditions in Greece during these days.

Νew friendly away game for FC PROODEFTIKI and the latest news about the new championship

Couple of days ago on Thursday 6^th September the official formation of the 8 different groups of the new seasons 3^rd division football championship of Greece was announced by EPO (Greek Football Federation)

As was mentioned in our previous article, FC PROODEFTIKI  and the other  teams from Pireus football Federation participating in this category will compete in the 5th group of this championship and will play against teams from the football associations of Crete island, resulting already considerable expenses for all teams involved in the group, due to extensive travel  arrangements  in away games  (tickets, accommodation etc)  

Τhe 5^th group will consist of following 13 teams:

6 teams participating from Pireus local football federation, which are following:  FC PROODEFTIKI, Ethnikos Pireus, Keratsini, Atromitos Pireus, Ionikos and Ampelakiakos (from Salamis island)

And the following 7 teams from Crete island: Episkopi (Rethymno football federation), Palaiochora & SYNKA (representing Chania football federaton), Atsalenios & Giouchtas (Heraklion football federation) and OF Ierapetra & Neapoli (Lasithi football federation)

On Sunday 9^th September FC PROODEFTIKI is playing a friendly away game against the team of Akratitos (in the Athenian suburb of Ano Liosia) as both team are practicing for the following new championships

The game starts at 6 pm (Greek local time)  and will be transmitted live with streaming via

Latest information for the new championship of the 3rd National football category in Greece (season 2018 – 2019)

Most probably the 8th group of the new championship of the 3rd football category in Greece (season 2018 – 2019) will include 13 football teams, the teams from Piraeus area (6 football teams) and the teams from Creta island ( 7 football teams)

This is apparent from the final recommendation of the Committee on events of EPO (Greek football federation) which is expected to be ratified and officially to the Board of the Federation next Thursday 6th Sept 2018
 

Specifically, the 8th group will consists of the following teams:6 teams of Piraeus local football federation, which are following:

FC PROODEFTIKI, Ethinkos, Keratsini, Atromitos Piraeus, Ionikos and Ampelakiakos (from Salamis island)
and following teams from Creta island : Episkopi (Rethymno local football federation), Palaiochora & SYNKA (Chania local football federation), Atsalenios & Giouchtas (Heraklion local football federation), OF Ierapetra & Neapoli ( Lasithi local football federation)
According to the current information, the draw of 3rd National Greek football league will take place on Friday 7th September 2018 and the kick-off for the new championship is set for Sunday 23 September.

As regards FC PROODEFTKI the squad is training already since a few weeks and it will be totally different comparing to last season squad.

New players have signed for the team (some experienced and several young talented players ) are training daily with our new coach Mr. Theodore Gatsios
The Squad can not be finally announced yet, as several more players will join the new team of FC PROODEFTIKI

Live transmissions of the games of FC PROODEFTIKI will be as well available this season, but the program will be announced after the draw of the games.
